Barrett Values Model & Cultural Transformation

The Barrett Values Model is the breakthrough work of Richard Barrett. Inspired by Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and tested over more than two decades of real-world experience with thousands of organizations.

The model identifies the seven areas that comprise human motivations. These range from basic survival at one end, to service and concern for future generations at the other.

It provides a proven and extraordinarily useful map for understanding the values of your employees, leaders, and stakeholders. Even better, it offers a means for creating more supportive and productive relationships between them, and a deeper alignment of purpose across your organization.

WHY VALUES?

The Barrett Model is rooted in understanding authentic motivations – the values that matter to and motivate us. Which is why building your optimal culture begins with understanding the values that inspire it. These values – conscious or unconscious – motivate every decision made or action taken.

Focusing on values allows us to perceive and interpret the underpinnings of behaviour. As a result, you’re able to craft a clear and precise picture of your personal, organisational or team’s present and future dynamics, without preconceptions – so that action plans are based on accurate insights, and tuned to your particular circumstances.

Sari has been working with the Barrett Values Model for 7 years and is the only fully certified practitioner of the Barrett Values Centre‘s suite of Cultural Transformation Tools used for Leadership Development, Team Development and Cultural Transformation in New Brunswick.
